Reservations for use of the library's public meeting rooms may be requested through the online reservation system. Rooms are free of charge and available during regular library hours.
When patrons request a room, they agree to the terms and conditions of our Meeting Room Access and Use policy by submitting a signed acknowledgment form.
The acknowledgment form is good for one year and must be reviewed by library staff before your request is approved. Please return the signed form to the Information Desk or by mail.
To book a room at the library, you must either have a BPL library card or represent a registered non-profit organization in Albany County.
To book a room using your BPL card:
- Your expected attendance may not exceed 25.
- You are required to bring your library card or photo ID to the Information Desk when checking in for your meeting; room access will not be granted without it.
To book a room with a non-profit ID number:
- You are required to view a training video before submitting an acknowledgement form. Please see our Book a Space page for information about how to look up your ID number.
- Your meeting must be open to the public.
Please note: You will not be able to access the room until the event start time. Meeting room requests will be acknowledged within 7 business days of being placed.
