Paws to Read

Kids can come to the library to practice reading skills with a gentle, furry friend! A registered therapy dog will listen calmly and quietly, creating a safe space for children to practice reading skills without fear or judgment. Learning to read out loud can be scary. A friendly face, particularly one with a wagging tail, can help ease reading jitters and build confidence. 

Registration is not required. Each child will have a chance to read a book of their own choice. Bring a favorite or pick one from the library shelves. For grades K-5.

Monday Night Social Hour

Are you new to the area, stuck in a stay-at-home/work-from-home rut, or simply looking for new friends but not sure how or where to start? Why not try the library?

Join us for a low-key social event for adults. We'll have board games, refreshments, and ice breakers to help make it easier for folks who are a little out of practice when it comes to socializing.

This event is for adults 18 and up. Adults of all abilities, including those who are learning English, are welcome! This is a judgement-free zone.
