Event Details

We are learning about weaving and textiles with a 4-H Club coordinator and educator from Albany County Cornell Cooperative Extension. First, we will be reading the book Weaving the Rainbow by George Ella Lyon. Then we will learn about the process of weaving and important weaving vocabulary such as loom, shuttle, warp, and weft. Finally, together we will learn how to use the contents of the weaving craft kit to make a colorful wall hanging to keep. Once registered, keep an eye out for the email notifying you when your weaving kit (with all supplies included) will be available for pickup at the library. Please note, weaving kits must be picked up by 5pm on Friday April 2nd.
