Join local author-artists Carole Fults and Diane Kavanaugh-Black for stories, conversation and images about friendship, photography, internal and external journeys, critters and plants, bear poo and challenging climbs--all set in walks at local nature areas.

Their co-authored book of poems, essays and photographs, A Walking Friendship: The First 500 Miles, was published this summer with recent reviews in the Times Union and The Spot 518. Patrons at Bethlehem may recall their December 2015 photo show at the library, also about Partridge Run Wildlife Management Area in Berne, "Getting to Know Pickerel Ponds," as well as the November 2018 multimedia installation at William Sanford Library in Colonie, "Weedy Woods & Flowers: Valuing the Tiny and Overlooked."
