Artificial Intelligence is a topic that seems to come up a lot these days. AI is in our search engines, messaging apps, and even our weather models, but what exactly is it? Is AI doing more harm than good? Is AI really that bad for the environment?

Join us for a discussion with Elena Fernandez, a SUNY Albany PhD Candidate in Atmospheric Science, whose research focuses on AI applications to weather forecasting.

This discussion will serve as a window into understanding the basics of AI – from constructing large models and their potential uses, to dissecting pitfalls of AI applications within all aspects of modern life.
