College Research Tips and Tricks

<i>Ages 14 and up.</i> Are you heading to college soon? Get the inside scoop on how to succeed at writing research papers? Kate Moss Head of Reference Instruction and Outreach at the College of Saint Rose in Albany will give a brief talk about the difference between expectations for high school versus college research. Joining Kate will be a panel of recent Saint Rose graduates who will tell you their own experiences in shifting from a high school to a college mindset and what they wish they had known about writing college level research papers before they started. Discussion will include how their research skills developed over time and how they are applying those skills in real life post-graduation. Time for questions and answers will follow the presentation.
