Have you ever wanted to try baking your own sourdough bread but didn’t know where to start? Sourdough is made by fermenting a mixture of flour and water to grow a living culture of wild yeast and beneficial bacteria, which gives it a unique flavor and texture. In this program, you will be able to make your own sourdough starter to take home, will learn how to feed and maintain it, and how to turn it into delicious baked goods. Participants will receive a jar of sourdough starter and a guidebook with instructions and recipes, as well as a sample of fresh sourdough bread to try.
